1![]() Mathematical Analysis – Problems with an Outline of Theory (In Serbian)Third edition, Academic Mind, Belgrade, 2001 (686 pages)A problem book, with elements of theory, for an introductory course in Analysis. Contains 1688 problems (mostly with solutions or results) from limits, differential and integral calculus, series (except Fourier series), metric spaces, functions of several variables and differential equations. A self-contained book, with all formulae that a student could need inside. Suitable for self-learning. The book of choice for students who wish to bring one single book to a deserted island to study Mathematical Analysis. 2![]() Mathematical Analysis – Theory and Thousand Problems, for students of engineering (In Serbian)Academic Mind, Belgrade, 2005 (498 pages). ISBN 86-7466-208-0The book is primarily written for students of Electrical Engineering, but it can also be used in mathematical courses in other engineering curricula. The theory is accompanied with 173 examples and 1008 exercises, mostly with solutions or results. Chapters: Introduction to Analysis, Sequences and Sets of Reals, Functions: Limits and Continuity, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Series, Differential Equations, Miscellaneous Problems.
3![]() Mathematical Analysis – theory, examples, exercises, for students of computer science (In Serbian)Računarski fakultet and CET, Belgrade, 2006 (418 pages). ISBN 86-7991-296-4Sequences, functions and integrals are discussed to the extent suitable for a first course in Analysis, with a choice of topics and examples which are close to students’ area of interests, like methods for solving non-linear equations, algorithms for calculation of square roots, or ways to find approximate values of numbers e and π. In addition, positive and alternative numerical series are studied, as well as a brief outline of power series. The book ends with a chapter on the first order differential equations. Contains also a brief introduction to the program “Mathematica”, 159 examples with detailed solutions, and 829 problems, mostly with solutions or answers. 4Mathematical Analysis – theory (In Serbian)Third edition, Academic Mind, Belgrade, 2002 (276 pages) ISBN 86-7466-070-3A theory book for the first course of Mathematical Analysis. After a short introductory chapter, the book presents real sequences, and limits in a general setup of metric spaces. This approach enables an overview of functions of several variables and complex functions, although the main themes of the book remain differential and integral calculus with functions of a single variable. The chapter on series contains numerical (real and complex) series, functional series (with a discussion of uniform convergence), and with a special attention brought to Taylor series. The textbook ends with differential equations (first order and linear equations of higher orders). This theory book can be used together with Mathematical Analysis - Problems with an Outline of Theory, Third edition, Academic Mind, Belgrade, 2001. 5![]() Probability and Statistics – for engineers and students of engineering (In Serbian)Second edition, Akademic Mind, Belgrade, 2006 (321 pages) ISBN 86-7466-229-3A first course in Probability and Statistics, with a view towards applications in Telecommunications, Reliability theory, Analysis of measurements, Computer Science and Physics. Chapters: Fundamental concepts of probability theory, Conditional probability and independence, Random variables and their distributions, Numerical characteristics of random variables, Characteristic functions, Limit theorems, Some important distributions, Parameter estimation, Hypotheses testing, Non-parametric tests, Conditional distributions, Linear regression, Random processes, Monte Carlo methods. Contains 217 solved problems and 222 exercises. |
